LaLiga Smartbank ended yesterday in a very exciting unified day in which until the last moments of the matches the champion, the promotion playoff and relegation were not decided. Once matchday 42 was over and the regular competition concluded, RCD Espanyol was proclaimed champion with 82 points thanks to Mallorca's puncture in Ponferrada and the goal they conceded in the 87th minute of the game.
In the playoff positions, Sporting was the main casualty of the day by not winning their match, losing the sixth position that they have managed to retain Rayo Vallecano. Below, Albacete, Castellón, Logroñés and Sabadell have been the relegated teams, saving Lugo and Alcorcón from our goalkeeper on this last day Dani Jiménez.
In key TwoFive and analyzing the goal, these are some of the most significant data:
· Dani Jiménez (AD Alcorcón) was the only goalkeeper of the season to have played 100% of the minutes played (3.780 minutes).
· Diego Marino (Real Sporting) has been second in the Zarra trophy (goalkeepers less thrashed) with a total of 25 goals conceded in 39 games (0,62 coef.).
3 goalkeepers from #TwoFiveSquad in the Top-10 goalkeepers with the highest number of saves in the league: Diego Marino second with a total of 107, Tom Nadal seventh with a total of 83 stops and Dani Jiménez eighth with a total of 82 stops.
2 goalkeepers from #TwoFiveSquad in the Top-5 goalkeepers with the highest number of clean sheets: Diego Marino second with 20 and Dani Jiménez fourth with a total of 17 clean sheets.
· Tom Nadal (Albacete BP) was the fourth goalkeeper in the competition to save the most penalties with a total of 2.
Thus ends LaLiga Smartbank 20-21, an extremely exciting competition with undeniable talent and combativeness. We are very proud of all of our goalkeepers. They have represented the values of TwoFive to perfection and have defended the goals of their teams with passion, sacrifice and talent. Thanks a lot to Diego Marino, JA Expensive, Dani Barrio, Dani Jiménez y Tom Nadal.
See you next season porter @ s!
